How Do You Control Temperature in a Solar Pool Water Heating Kit?

Are you looking to invest in a solar pool heating system? If yes, then you’ve made a good decision. As a responsible pool owner, you must know about the benefits and cost savings of using solar energy for heating your pool.

Generally, pools are used for seasonal purposes, especially in the summer days. That’s why using a solar water heating system for pools can benefit pool owners. This solar-powered system can be integrated so that it can supply enough amount of heating to the pool during summer and provide home and space heating as well as residential hot water in the winter.

When you install a solar pool heating system, you can minimize your heating bills year-round. This system is an ideal alternative to indoor pool owners searching for a perfect solution for pool heating purposes during the winter.

This solar pool water system has a much longer life expectancy and provides you with enough heating energy throughout the season than any type of solar pool water heating system available. However, the overall ownership cost is substantially less than yields maximum savings over the cost of fossil fuels and electricity. The savings are much higher than other types of solar pool water heating systems.

How Do You Control Temperature in a Solar Pool Water Heating System?

Northern Lights solar pool heating kits are easy to install and operate. Take a look at this post and know how to operate it effortlessly:

Single Setting – You need to adjust the single dial in the Aqua Solar system to indicate the desired pool temperature clearly. The dial is calibrated with temperatures ranging from 70 degrees F to 104 degrees F. It ensures quick, easy, and user-friendly operation of the pool water heating system.

The set temperature indicates the preferred pool temperature. The Aqua Solar system helps you determine whether the water should be heated or cooled automatically while maximizing the abilities of the solar systems.

Terminal Strip Connections –

These connections are available for input power and sensor inputs. The controls come with three-pin connectors providing you with forward and reverse valve actuator operation.

LED Display –

LED display on the solar pool heating system allows you to know the status of the operation of the entire system. An optional valve output present on the Aqua Solar system provides you with the second zone of either a pump or a three-way valve.

Re-Circulation Freeze Protection –

This option turns on the Aqua Solar output that directs the warmer water from the pool through the collectors when the auxiliary sensor notes down the freezing temperature.  When the auxiliary sensor falls below the 34 degrees F, the Aqua Solar allows re-circulation.

The Aqua Solar will stop the circulation, when the temperature goes above 36 degrees F. This system requires two 10K Ohm sensors for its operation. If the system utilizes the freeze re-circulation, it’s recommended to use one or more freeze snap switch sensors. Therefore, you should go through the instructions before using freeze re-circulation.

System Operation and Test Switch –

This switch allows you to override the automatic function of Aqua Solar manually to verify the overall operation.
